LOS ANGELES SKYSCRAPER SLIDE VIDEO HOW TO
Well, the sliding part is short but first you have to wait in line and be briefed on how to properly slide by an attendant. You have to climb a shiny, glass staircase to get from the 69th to the 70th floor where you’re greeted with the entrance to the slide and, of course a lengthy safety disclaimer. The rest of the 69th floor is pretty empty but that makes sense because it’s meant to be rented out for weddings and high-end parties. It’s pretty fun to play “I Spy” with all the big LA landmarks including Dodger Stadium, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign. The views from these spots are amazing and most definitely worth the price of admission.

It’s also a clever way to move guests to the tower’s second elevator which exists because a building as tall as the US Bank Tower can’t have a single elevator to the top.Īfter you get through all the tech stuff, you’re ushered up to the 69th floor where you can walk out onto the observation decks on the southeast and northwest sides of the skyscraper. This whole area is more of a glorified queue in case there are large lines to get up to the observation deck. Guests are dropped off at the 54th floor which has a nearly-360-video screen that shows time lapses of Los Angeles shot from what seemed to be the Hollywood Hills.Īs you walk around the circular floor, you also come across an old elevator shaft that was lit up with neon and an interactive exhibit that uses motion capture technology to take in a guest’s movements then project them onto a screen with a bunch of digital bubbles. The whole experience starts on the 3rd floor of the tower where guests buy tickets and hop on the first elevator. The Skyslide is just the thrill factor of Skyspace but it’s really an event space and observation deck with stunning views of Los Angeles.
